Katie M. Posewitz

Katie M. Posewitz grew up in Rice Lake, Wisconsin and graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1997. From there, she attended University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire (B.A. 2003, summa cum laude). After working as a high school social studies teacher and paralegal, she attended University of Minnesota Law School (J.D. 2010, magna cum laude). She was admitted to Minnesota State Bar in 2010. She spent one year working for the University of Minnesota. She was then admitted to Wisconsin State Bar in 2011. She joined the law firm Fauerbach & Martell in Ashland as an associate in 2011 and became a partner until 2017. She was the Bayfield County Assistant District Attorney from 2019 to 2023.

Attorney Posewitz enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband are active in coaching their two sons in sports.
